When: October 11, 2023 | 1 - 2 PM EDT
Speakers: Andrea Amico, Privacy4Cars | Genevieve Walser-Jolly, Severson & Werson
Vehicles in general and retailing are increasingly digital... which creates a host of new compliance obligations. Genevieve Walser-Jolly of Severson and Wesson, and Andrea Amico of Privacy4Cars will compare "the theory" (cases, enforcement actions, regulatory guidance, and new laws), with "the practice" (a meta-analysis of over 1,000 dealership websites in California and Colorado, mystery shops, and the outcomes of almost 4,000 Data Subject Access Requests). We will distill the gaps we found into a pragmatic list of 10 simple actions counsels can take immediately to dramatically reduce risk with little to no cost.
CLE Credit may be available for up to 60 minutes of educational program if approved in your state (1 general
credits for states that calculate 60 minutes per credit; 1.2 for states that use 50 minutes per credit).
Contact Kira Forster at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Please make sure to indicate on your
online registration form what states you would like to receive CLE credit in.
