NADC CREATES COVID-19 WORKING GROUP & RESOURCE PAGE

Date

To deal with the unprecedented challenges that the auto industry, and the rest of the world, face as a result of COVID-19, NADC has created a COVID-19 Working Group. Chaired by Russ McRory, Arent Fox LLP, Les Stracher, Napleton Automotive Group, Oren Tasini and Andrew Weill, Weill & Mazer, this group will lead NADC’s efforts to effectively gather and disseminate up-to-date information to our members.

Oren Tasini says “The core mission of the NADC is to provide our members the tools to provide the highest level of legal service to their dealer clients.  In this very difficult time, the NADC and it’s members are committed to fulfilling that mission.   The NADC COVID-19 WORKING GROUP was formed to coordinate the collection and dissemination of vital information to assist our members and their dealer clients.”

As part of this effort, NADC has created a “COVID-19 Resources” page on our website in the eLibrary. You will need to be logged in as a member to access this page. We greatly appreciate our members’ efforts to gather and share documents, charts, and other information that is vital for our members as the industry navigates through unchartered territory. We will continue to update this resource page frequently. Please note, our E-Library may only be accessed by NADC attorney and trade association executive members.

To our members who have provided valuable guidance, we thank you for sharing these so willingly.  Please send any additional resources you think should be added to the Covid-19 Resource Page to Jennifer jpolo-sherk@dealercounsel.com or Erin emurphy@dealercounsel.com.

We will be asking for additional volunteers for our Covid-19 Working Group to fill out areas of expertise we think will be vital. The Covid-19 Resource Page has topics that show “Information Forthcoming”. These are areas we think will become relevant in this crisis and for which we need to collect resources.  If you think other areas should be included please contact us.

NADC will be doing several webinars in the coming weeks on these important topics, with the first focusing on the Families First legislation and CARES Act.

A huge thanks to our friends at NADA, who have graciously agreed to the sharing of information so we can maximize the resources to be applied to this extraordinary event.
