The National Association of Dealer Counsel (NADC) will hold its 3rd Annual Member Conference, March 11 to 13, 2007 at the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas. Program information and on-line registration can be found at the events section of www.dealercounsel.com.
The program includes:

a former prosecutor’s guide to help auto dealers minimize risks and add value

latest trends in franchise relations, including the impact of franchise relations on the acquisition of dealerships and a presentation on dissecting the Urban Science Applications Inc. witness

ethics, multi-jurisdictional practice and the unauthorized practice of law: trouble for the transactional and litigating attorney ** employment law
-
accounting issues, including what attorneys should know when reviewing dealership financial statements, valuation, due diligence and litigation exposure and the dealer manufacturer’s financial statement

the current revolution in dealership computer systems, including how dealers are turning compliance challenges into dealership opportunities
-
NADA update on regulatory affairs efforts, including several rule-makings and a discussion from an expert on the franchisor/manufacturer appeal process
-
electronic discovery rules
There will be a total of 635 minutes of instruction: 575 general and 60 ethics. Continuing legal education credit will be available.
In addition, the membership meeting, meals and receptions offer members ample networking opportunity.
Attorneys who represent automobile and other vehicle dealers but are not NADC members are eligible to apply for membership at www.dealercounsel.com.
The NADC is a professional organization of attorneys representing automobile and other vehicle dealers, such as truck, motorcycle, boat, motor home and all terrain vehicles.
